Ceramic Cookware: Cook Healthy with Asai
Ceramic Cookware Set for Everyday Indian Cooking
Every Indian kitchen reaches for the same few pans day after day: a frying pan, a dosa tawa, a kadai, maybe a dutch oven for weekends. Asai bundles these into sets that cost less than buying each piece on its own. If you're weighing a ceramic set against a regular non-stick combo, the real difference isn't how it cooks; it's what's actually in the coating.
Every pan is coated in Procera, our Swiss-engineered ceramic surface with no PFAS, PTFE or Teflon in it, and every batch gets tested for 300+ toxins with a lab report you can pull up just by scanning a QR code on the box. Choose from four sets, starting with a simple breakfast duo up to a full four-piece kitchen upgrade, based on how many people you're cooking for and what you tend to make.

A simple way to go about it is to start with what complements your cooking habits; start with the Breakfast Duo to give your mornings a quick start. If your week runs on curries and sabzi, the Essential Duo has you covered.
Cooking both breakfast and full meals daily? The Everyday Trio makes more sense so you're not sharing pans between meals. And if biryani, big batches of dal, or cooking for guests are a regular thing, the Complete Quartet's Dutch Oven earns its keep.
Why Choose Asai's Ceramic Cookware Sets
Procera, our ceramic coating, is FDA-approved and Swiss-made, with no harmful chemicals and no heavy metals in it. We're also the only cookware brand that tests every single batch for 300+ toxins and hands you the report with your order, most brands only test occasionally, not batch by batch. Curious how the testing works? You can read more on our Asai Lab page.
Because the surface is naturally non-stick, you'll use up to 50% less oil, so eggs, dosas and sabzi release cleanly without needing much ghee. The handles are built to stay under 45°C even over a lit flame, and the pans themselves are up to a quarter lighter than standard non-stick cookware, which you'll notice the first time you're flipping a tawa every morning. Everything works across induction, gas and electric cooktops.
Is a Ceramic Cookware Set Safe?
Yes, when used the way it's meant to be. Procera has no PFAS, PTFE or Teflon in it, and every batch goes through independent lab testing for 300+ toxins, with the report available via the QR code on the box. That said, safety also comes down to how you use it: cook on low to medium heat, don't preheat an empty pan, and stick to wooden or silicone spatulas instead of metal ones, which can scratch the coating over time.
Ceramic vs Regular Non-Stick (PTFE)
Feature Asai Ceramic (Procera) Regular PTFE Non-Stick Coating Ceramic, PFAS/PTFE-free PTFE-based Oil Needed Up to 50% less Standard Handle Temp Stays under 45°C Heats up with use Batch Testing Every batch, 300+ toxins Not typically disclosed Weight Lighter Heavier Scratch Care Needs soft spatulas Needs soft spatulas Both types need roughly the same care, no metal utensils, no dry high heat. Where they really differ is what's in the coating itself and whether that's actually tested and disclosed batch by batch.
Caring for Your Cookware Set
Stick to low or medium heat, and avoid preheating any pan when it's empty. Use wooden or silicone spatulas only, metal tools will wear the ceramic surface down faster than you'd expect. A soft sponge and mild soap by hand is best; the sets are dishwasher safe too, but hand washing keeps the coating performing longer. Season the dosa tawa before you use it the first time, then about once a week after with refined oil. When storing, try not to stack the pans directly on top of one another.
What's Included With Every Set
Every set comes with complimentary silicone spatulas (BPA tested) and pan protectors so nothing gets scratched in storage, plus the third-party lab report for that specific batch. A 2-year limited warranty backs each piece, and if the set isn't right for you, Asai offers a 7-day no-questions-asked return.

Q: What is your warranty and return policy?
A: Every piece comes with a 2-year limited warranty, and you can return any set within 7 days, no questions asked.
