Is ceramic kadai suitable for Indian cooking?
Yes. It’s great for sabzi, bhuna masala, dals, curries, frying, and sautéing—with less oil and even heating.
Does ceramic kadai require special care?
Not special—just smart care: low–medium heat, avoid metal spatulas, and wash with a soft sponge once cooled.
Is ceramic kadai with lid better for everyday use?
Yes. A lid helps cook faster, retain moisture, reduce splatter, and lock flavours, making daily cooking easier.
Can I cook on high heat using a ceramic kadai?
You can, but it’s not ideal. Ceramic performs best on low to medium heat; avoid preheating empty on high flame to protect the surface.
Does food stick to a ceramic kadai over time?
It can if it’s overheated or used with harsh scrubbers. With proper care, it stays smooth and non-stick for longer.

How does the Asai Ceramic Kadai compare it with my stainless steel kadai?
Unlike stainless steel, the Asai Ceramic Kadai is naturally non-stick, needs up to 50% less oil, is much lighter to use and comes with stay cool, silicone grip handles. Essentially, it's built for Indian kitchen.
Is the kadai induction compatible?
Yes- Asai ceramic kadai is versatile and works on gas, induction and electric cooktops.
Can I use a metal spatula?
Metal spatulas are a strict no — they can damage your Asai kadai’s surface. Use the silicone spatula included with your kadai, or opt for a wooden one for equally safe cooking.
Can I use ceramic kadai for deep frying?
ProceraTM ceramic has excellent heat retention making it perfect for slow cooking. For deep frying we recommend low to medium heat cooking only.
Is this ceramic kadai dishwasher safe?
While the kadai is dishwasher safe, we recommend hand washing to preserve the coating’s longevity.
How should I store this ceramic kadai?
Store it in a cool, dry place and avoid stacking heavy items on top to protect the ceramic coating.
How can I deep clean my kadai?
For the interior: Fill the kadai halfway with water and bring it to a near boil for about 2 minutes. Pour out the water and place the kadai on a sturdy surface such as a wooden cutting board. Carefully use a soft sponge on the warm surface, this should do the trick. For the exterior: Mix baking soda and a little water to form a smooth paste; then use kitchen paper to rub the paste over the stained area (exterior surfaces only).
How long do ceramic kadai's last?
Ceramic kadais if not maintained well, will not last as long as a Stainless steel kadais. Avoid metal tools, high flame cooking and abrasive cleaning and your Asai kadai will love you back.
